What drives people towards religions? Why are people so inclined to use religion to find answers?
Although a lot of mysteries will always remain unsolved, we do know that a large part of public life deals with religious practices. It not only serves an important social function but it also comforts those in solitude.
At the international VSPA conference Psychology of Religion we will try to answer at least some of the questions to why people believe in gods and how this affects our psychological functioning. Join us in finding answers to these questions and more at the 27th and 28th of April 2010!
With 10 interesting lectures that made us consider the worth and importance of the psychology of religion. With 2 panel discussion that concluded the days and that might have raised more questions than it brought answers. With more than 300 visitors. With a smooth progress of the days… The conference committee proudly looks back on two great days!
We would like to thank all who made this possible: the speakers for their presentations, the sponsors for their financial support, the visitors for their presence and everyone else who helped make this event possible.
The VSPA will proceed to organise new international psychology conference next year, so... to be continued!
