VSPA

The VSPA is the study association for psychology students at the University of Amsterdam. With over 2000 members, it is one of the largest study associations in the Netherlands.
The VSPA's aim is to support psychology students at the UvA in their acadamic and social development during their academic years. Common activities organized by active members are the first-years' weekend, study trips, excursions, lectures, music evenings and parties. The VSPA also provides students with affordable studybooks by retailing them at the VSPA Bookstore.

A big annual aim is to organize an international scientific conference which is accessible for students. In the past few years we explored subjects such as "Psychology of Religion", "Autism", "Love and Sex", "Language and the Mind" and "Researching the Self"
This years' conference is on "Irrationality" and hopefully it will be as succesfull as previous conferences.
